چکیده

Particle creation during inflation is considered. It could be important for species whose interaction is of gravitational strength or weaker. A complete but economical formalism is given for spin-zero and spin-half particles, and the particle abundance is estimated on the assumption that the particle mass in the early universe is of order the Hubble parameter H . It is roughly the same for both spins, and it is argued that the same estimate should hold for higher spin particles in particular the gravitino. The abundance is bigger than that from the usual particle collision mechanism if the inflationary energy scale is of order 1016 GeV, but not if it is much lower.

A more accurate analytic calculation of the spectrum of cosmological perturbations produced during inflation

Formulae are derived for the spectra of scalar curvature perturbations and gravitational waves produced during inflation, special cases of which include power law inflation, natural inflation in the small angle approximation and inflation in the slow roll approximation. Universe Decay, Inflation and the Large Eigenvalue of the Cosmological Constant Seesaw

We discuss implications of the large eigenvalue of the cosmological constant seesaw mechanism extending hep-th/0602112 and hep-th/0604108. While the previous papers focused on the small eigenvalue as a cosmological constant associated with the accelerating Universe, here we draw attention to the physical implications of the large eigenvalue. In particular we find that the large eigenvalue can g...

An alternative to a cosmological constant is quintessence, defined as a slowlyvarying scalar field potential V (φ). If quintessence is observationally significant, an epoch of inflation is beginning at the present epoch, with φ the slowly-rolling inflaton field. In contrast with ordinary inflation, quintessence seems to require extreme fine tuning of the potential V (φ). The degree of fine-tuni...

In this lecture first I present a brief genesis of the ideas on the electroweak baryogenesis and then I focus on a mechanism in which the source of CP violation is a CP -violating field condensate which could occur, for example, in multi-higgs extensions of the Standard Model. In the limit of a thick bubble wall one finds a classical force acting on particles proportional to the mass squared an...
